Last Updated ( Thursday, 23 August 2018 )

The following is a list and contact details of foreign diplomatic missions in Malaysia. Malaysians might get confused with the difference between Embassy and High Commission

Embassy is the general term for a permanent diplomatic mission, usually located in the capital of the country, in this case, in Kuala Lumpur.

High Commission is a term used by missions from a Commonwealth country, e.g. the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, etc.

In general, there is no difference in function between an Embassy and a High Commission.

A consulate or consulate general is generally a representative of the country located in a city other than the capital.
