A global event like no other, the Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention 2018 is set to be Asia�s hottest smart city and digital economy event for years to come! A hotbed of innovation, creativity and intelligence, with the theme of "Smart Manufacturing, Retail Revolution & StartupFest", Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention 2018 celebrates its third edition this year. This follows the success of the Selangor Smart City and Future Commerce Convention in late 2017, which was organised by Invest Selangor Bhd together with Barcelona�s former Deputy Mayor (2011 - 2015) and current CEO of the City Transformation Agency of Barcelona, Mr Antoni Vives.

Not content at being �just another Smart City event�, we�re going full force to co-curate and co-organise the region�s most unique and biggest smart and digital event ever to explore the impact of the confluence of the digital world, cross-border commerce and urban living, and how smart & digital advances are transforming cities, communities, and individuals around the globe. Set to be a mega 3-day event with a trade exhibition looking firmly to the future of cities, startups & commerce, held in conjunction with a 3 days conference featuring keynotes by top leadership personalities who are some of the best in their industries, on top of all-star panel sessions with CXOs and thought leaders in both Smart City and Cross-Border eCommerce.

This event is part of the Selangor International Business Week organised by Selangor state government and Invest Selangor. The purpose is to make it one of the largest trade show and conference in Malaysia and regional.

The objective for this event is to establish a major Smart City Summit in the Asia-Pacific, as a gathering point for industry and intellectual leaders on the topics of Big Tech, IOT, Big Data, and IR 4.0, while building the bridge between local and regional tech startups with the rest of the world, in order to help them penetrate the international market. The 3-day convention features a pitching competition (Selangor International Pitch) that brings together leading startups for a live battle on stage, while accelerating 50 tech startups to be investment-ready and able to find quality investors and win key business partners while strengthening the startup community in Malaysia.

The prestigious Malaysia�s Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards (TopECM) makes a comeback this year as we commemorate innovation, competition and excellence amongst local Malaysian digital commerce companies. And throughout all three days, there will be a massive exposition with 150 booths from service providers, vendors, tech giants, urban developers, and more from around the world and across Asia, right here in the heart of Selangor.
